In Washington County, there have been 11,228 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, and 219 deaths. Montgomery County is reporting 58,011 coronavirus cases, and 1,250 deaths. Howard County has had 14,330 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, and 195 deaths.
Statewide, the Health Department reports Maryland has 348,749 coronavirus cases as of Thursday, which is 2,190 more than on Wednesday. 6,861 deaths have been reported, which is 40 more than the day before. The state’s positivity rate is 6.15%, and the number of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 is 1,636 as of Thursday, which is a decrease of 11 from Wednesday.
