Police are investigating.
Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday morning.
At around 10:14 AM, officers were dispatched to the unit block Pendleton Court for reports of shots fired. They found evidence of a firearm discharge. Witness told police they believe one man had been struck in the lower body.
Shortly afterward, the victim arrived at Frederick Health Hospital with a gunshot wound. He was treated and then transported to an area trauma center.
The suspect is described as a Black male who was wearing a black sweatshirt. He was seen leaving the area on foot, but he may have gotten into a vehicle, police say.
One vehicle parked in the areas was struck and damaged by gun fire The owner of the vehicle was not involved, according to authorities.
Police believe this is not a random shooting, and the victim and the suspect may have known each other.
