same area may result in flash flooding. Widespread rainfall
amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected on average…with locally
heavier amounts possible.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
Among the areas covered by the Flash Flood Watch include Frederick, Carroll, Washington Counties, and northwest and southeast Montgomery County; and northwest, central and southeast Howard County; western and eastern Loudon County, Va.: and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties in W.Va.
