Victims are being helped by the Washington County Health Department
Hagerstown, Md. (DG) – A sex trafficking operation was dismantled in Washington County.
Authorities are reporting 12 people have been charged with sex offenses, and seven victims have been placed into the harm reduction program with the Washington County Health Department.
The operation took place on June 3rd at multiple locations in Washington County.
Hagerstown Police, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, and the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Section and Child Recovery Unit took part in the operation to abolish sex trafficking within Washington County.
Arrested were:
Jackie Lee Cobbs of Hagerstown. Charged with sexual solicitation of a minor.
Luis Enrique Franco Ramos of Hagerstown. Charged with sexual solicitation of a minor.
Brooke Marie Rutherford of Hagerstown. Charged with possession with intent distribute drugs and prostitution.
Juan Alberto Martinez Reyes of Smithsburg. Charged with prostitution.
Charles Ira Cooke of Hagerstown. Charged with prostitution.
Gibson Opoku-Mensah of Hagerstown. Charged with prostitution.
James Lester Baker of Hagerstown. Charged with prostitution.
Moises Isahi Gonzalez Sanchez of Hagerstown. Charged with prostitution.
John David Litaker of Berkley Springs, WV. Charged with prostitution and possession of drugs.
Frank Edward Gordon II of Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania. Charged with prostitution.
Terry Lynn Fraley of Williamsport, Maryland. Charged with prostitution.
Jordan Jason Phillips of Shepherdstown, WV. Charged with prostitution.
